Most recently, Dr. Wallace completed a research project on the careers of women in senior-level positions in the corporate world which focused on their high attrition rate. She specializes in what individuals and corporations alike can do to enhance the effectiveness of women as they climb to and reach top management. She frequently speaks at large scale events (e.g. "Women on Wall Street" in New York on October 2005 and "Women in European Business" in London on June 2005) as well as smaller company-specific functions. She also conducts seminars and coaches women leaders. Dr. Wallace has forged close relationships with a number of blue-chip clients, including ABB, Allianz Group, British Petroleum, British Telecom, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, Ericsson, DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Company, Goldman Sachs, GlaxoSmithKline, International Truck and Engine, ITT, LG, Merrill Lynch, Philips, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Unilever. As a consultant and educator who is equally at ease in the distinct worlds of business and education, she has designed a number of highly rated programs that have been enthusiastically received on both sides of the Atlantic. For example, as Interim Dean of the Deutsche Bank School of Leadership within Deutsche Bank University, she helped set the school's strategic agenda by helping align leadership development with corporate strategy. For clients, she has developed and introduced a number of executive education models that combine the best of electronic media, practice, thought, action learning and dialogue. She also has worked closely with senior officers of financial institutions to debate key business challenges and recommend solutions. Dr. Wallace received her Ph.D. from the Psychology Department at Duke University in 1985, with special emphasis on cognitive and thought processes. Prior to founding Leadership Forum, she was a psychology research faculty member at Duke University and taught at the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was a Professor of Marketing and then Associate Dean of Executive Education at The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
