Mary Anne Rasmussen’s life’s work has been focused on developing the effectiveness of individuals and organizations. She currently heads her own consulting firm, Rasmussen Consulting. Her expertise in this area starts with a Masters degree in Organizational Development, and over 20 years of internal and external consulting experience in a variety of organizations and industries.
A sampling of her diverse background and accomplishments includes:
- Directing large-scale change management initiatives in a variety of organizational environments. Certified trainer of the William Bridges Transitions material;
- Extensive executive coaching for teams and individuals;
- Creating and managing a training curriculum at Pacific Bell, the largest
telecommunicatitons company in California, resulting in the successful redeployment
of over 1000 technical employees into marketing/sales positions;
- Managing a new Corporate Service Quality department at Charles Schwab & Co., reducing SEC-regulated complaint resolution from over 45 days to less than 10 days;
- Creating and implementing an organizational development strategy for Applied
Materials' finance division, including competency modeling, 360 degree feedback
surveys, and an organizational talent audit, complete with organization-wide
development planning and executive coaching;
- Developing a leadership program for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co., and creating a learning organization program for its IT function;
- Developing a succession planning process, and accompanying executive development
programs, for Allianz AG, a multi-national insurance group;
- Directing a division-wide change effort for the State of Maine Department of Education Special Services;
- Developing and delivering a competency-based leadership training program for
supervisors at Mid-State Machine Products.
Mary Anne is certified in several leader-led programs designed to build in-house capabilities, including Building Business Partnerships©, Exercising Influence©, The Consultative Approach®, Leading Organizational Transition® and Motivating Teams and Individuals®. She also custom designs programs for many of her clients.
Mary Anne consults to a variety of industries, including high-tech manufacturing and services, financial services, software design, government and non-profits. She is a certified ropes course facilitator and loves to incorporate experiential learning activities into her client interactions.
Mary Anne has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Redlands, and a Masters of Science degree in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco. She has lived and worked internationally. She currently lives in Maine, where she enjoys the outdoors with her extended family.
