Jim’s extensive training experience includes 16 years as an adjunct trainer for the Center of Creative Leadership headquartered in Greensboro, NC. Jim is a Certified Executive Coach and has provided ongoing feedback and training to the staff and clients of the Center. Business Week recently ranked the Center for the third consecutive time as the #1 worldwide provider for executive leadership training and development. Over 6,550 one on one coaching sessions with executive leaders have contributed to the large experience base for teaching, leading and coaching effectively. Jim has coached executives from 37 states and 48 countries around the world. Jim founded the Wilderness Leadership Experience. He also developed the Leadership Coaching Seminar, which has been offered in the USA, Kenya and Canada. Notably, Jim, as a guest of the Center for Citizen Initiatives, addressed Russia’s top 100 entrepreneurs in the Russian Leaders Institute as they converged for their first annual leadership training in Moscow, 2001. Jim has also conducted training for mid and senior level managers for the Senior Canadian Officials in Ottawa, Canada, Professors of the University of Peru, the International Mission Board in Nairobi, Kenya; the US Army, Accenture, AT&T, Johnson Controls, Bank of America, Xerox, Syngenta, Sara Lee, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Canadian Niagara Power, Wachovia Bank and Southwest Airlines. Jim graduated from the Citadel, class of 1977, and holds a B.S. in Education. Jim completed his Master’s degree in 1982 from Dallas Theological Seminary and his Doctorate in 1999. Dissertation topic: The Intentional Use of Questions as a Basis for Educational Feedback. Jim and his wife Karyn reside in High Point, NC with their four children. |
