Dr. Jessica Payne holds appointments at Harvard Medical School, and the Psychology Department at Harvard University, where she is currently a Harvard Mind, Brain and Behavior Fellow. Dr. Payne’s research focuses on the roles of stress and sleep in human memory, creativity and decision-making. She teaches various courses in Psychology and Neurobiology, including a popular course at Harvard entitled “The Sleeping Brain” for which she recently won Harvard University’s Bok Center Award for teaching excellence. Dr. Payne holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Arizona, a Master’s Degree in Experimental Psychology from Mount Holyoke College, and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of San Diego.
